A delegation of Change for Health-Nepal (CFH-Nepal) left for the United States of America on Tuesday to participate in an interantional symposium being orgnaized by Recreation, Sports and Tourism Department of Illonnois University Urbana Champaign
The delegation will participate in the symposium entitled ‘Forming Partnerships and Linkages in Sports for Development and Peace: Considerations, Tensions, and Strategies’ on March 7 and 8.
CFH-Nepal’s Vice President Machhindra Acharya and Secretary Lokendra Acharya are in the delegation.
Change for Health Nepal (CFH -Nepal) distributed sports materials in Shree Pragatishil Secondary High School, Khadgabhanjyang, Nuwakot on February 12, 2017. The organization is conducting different sports related activities following the series of Sports for Healthy Living Campaign.
Mr. Bishnu Bahadur Rimal, an active member of CFH-Nepal represented the program. Sports material included Vollyball, net, football, badminton set, cricket set and other material for indoor games. Speaking about the activities of organization, Mr. Rimal highlighted the importance of sports in the holistic development of any individual. He further added the importance of sports from the early ages of life and school is the best platform for enhancing sports and physical activity which in long run teach people about the importance of brotherhood, leadership and team spirit. The organization realizes that Including the people with disability in sports further contribute in the inclusive development of the nation.
Speaking on behalf of organization, Mr Rimal highly emphasized that sports help to keep us mentally and physically sound.
Senior CPNUML leader Mr. Mahendra Pandey was the chief guest of the program. CFH-Nepal is working with United Nations Organization of Sports for Development and Peace (UNOSDP) 2030 Goal #3Good Health & Wel-Being. CFH initiated the campaign on April 2016.
The campaign was innaugarated by Wilfried Lemke, then special advisor of UN Secretary, for sports for development and peace.
Change for Health Nepal participated "Communities & Crisis: Inclusive Development through sport" seminar held in Rheinsberg, Germany.
The seminar received the participants and speakers representing more than 15 countries. The seminar began with an ice breakers on the first day which was an opportunity for the participants to get to know each other better.
Our team involving in the reconstruction at rural areas. Most of the rural houses were damaged at devastating earthquake of 25 April 2015 and it is very near for the one year of time. We had several difficulties caused by the Artificial and Natural crisis.
